Puttaparthi is 156 km away from Bangalore, It can be reached easily from Bangalore in 3 to 4 hours driveThe main attraction of the town is Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram established in 1950. Towns history revolves around the birth and life of Sathya Sai Baba. Town got its global recognition due to the Ashram, which has given boost to the local economy in terms of hotels, restaurants and shops in the town. Eastablishment of the Nilayam ashram turned this small village into the world-class tonw. Town has its own airport just 4 km away, super speciality hospitals and various educational institutions.
