Pick up from your hotel and proceed to Prayagraj formerly known as Allahabad. It is 130 km away from Varanasi and takes around 03 hours to reach up. Have breakfast en-route.

09:30 AM ARRIVES PRAYAGRAJ
Arrives Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad). Upon arrival in Prayagraj, go for sightseeing tour of Prayagraj. Prayagraj is one of the most significant as well as religious places in India. Though is world renowned for hosting the world’s largest religious congregation called Kumbh Fair, which is held here in every 12 year. Apart from this, are many more tourist attractions to watch out for.

TRIVENI SANGAM
Head straight to the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. This sacred site is a significant pilgrimage spot where devotees take holy dips, especially during the Kumbh Mela. You can take a boat ride to get closer to the meeting point of the rivers, which is a spiritually uplifting experience.

ALLAHABAD FORT
Situated near the banks of Yamuna River, magnificent fort built by Munhall Emperor Akbar in 1583. It exhibits fine art and architecture, craftsmanship of the Fort. The Fort is presently under the custody of Indian army, Visitors are allowed to view the Ashoka Pillar, Saraswati Kup and Jodhabai Palace. Fort can be seen from the river side. One must take a prior permission from the Commandant to visit this fort. The famous Patalpuri Temple and Akshaya Vat (the Immortal Banyan Tree), are open to visitors. Akshaya Vat is revered as an ancient, sacred tree that has witnessed countless eras.

HANUMAN TEMPLE
Next, head to the iconic Hanuman Mandir, known for its reclining statue of Lord Hanuman. This temple is unique as it’s one of the few places where Lord Hanuman is depicted lying down. The temple holds special significance in Hindu mythology and is believed to protect the city from flooding.

ANAND BHAVAN
This is the ancestral property of Nehrus-Gandhi family. It is a must see place when you are in Allahabad. Anand Bhavan now converted into the museum, witnessed the era of independence. This is the place where all the important political meetings were held during the times of evidence. Memorable items belong to Nehru-Gandhi family are kept here for display. This place is closed on Monday.

SWARAJ BHAVAN
Swaraj Bhavan is the place where former prime minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born, located next to the Anand Bhavan.

ALLAHABAD MUSEUM
If time permits, visit the Allahabad Museum to see its extensive collection of sculptures, paintings, coins, and manuscripts. The museum provides insight into the cultural and historical significance of the region, making it a fitting end to your cultural tour of Prayagraj.
