Agra Day Trip by Train
Agra day trip from Jaipur by train is also possible and another option to explore the city of Taj Mahal. The Shatabdi train is running between Jaipur & Agra, which is best suited train in terms of its schedule from both cities. It leaves from Jaipur at 07:05 hrs and reaches Agra at 10:35 hrs. On return it departs at 17:40 hrs from Agra and arrives Jaipur at 21:20 hrs.
JAIPUR – AGRA
You will be picked up from your hotel in Jaipur and transferred to the Arga Fort railway station to board Shatabdi Train.

ARRIVES AGRA
Arrives Agra Fort railway station. Upon arrival, you are met with our companys representative along with a tour guide for the city tour of Agra. After introduction of the guide, drive towards the Taj Mahal.
VISIT TAJ MAHAL
You are going to visit the Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is UNESCO world heritage site and also amongst the seven wonders of the world. The Mughal architecture and engineering work in building the Taj Mahal is an exceptional. Mughal emperor ShahJahan commissioned the Taj Mahal in 16th century in the memory of his favorite wife Mumtaj Mahal after her death. 20,000 workers and artisans from different parts of the world completed the building of Taj Mahal in 22 years. It is made out of white marble transported from the place called Makarana near Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The tour guide will explain to you the details of making the Taj such as architecture, engineering work, Mughal history and many more interesting stories related to the Taj Mahal.

After the visit of Taj, you go for delicious Buffet lunch at Hotel ITC Mughal.
VISIT AGRA FORT
After having finished a delicious lunch, move on to see another renowned Mughal monument called the Red Fort of Agra.
The Red Fort in Agra is situated on the west bank of River Yamuna, commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar from 1565 to 1573. It is also called as walled city. Agra fort contains the beautiful palaces both in red sand stones and white marble built over three generations of Mughal Emperor such as Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan. The Agra fort features incredible rampart and magnificent Mughal architecture. Mughal emperor ShahJahan, who built Taj Mahal, is said to have been made house arrest by his own son Aurangzeb in this fort. Shahjahan spent last eight years of his life in this fort and died looking at Taj Mahal, which is also seen from the fort today.
SHOPPING IN AGRA
After doing the sightseeing of Agra Fort, rest of the day free at your own leisure until departure of the train back to Jaipur. One can also spend some time on shopping in Agra as the city is famous for leather & marble items.

Drop at Agra Fort railway station to board Shatabdi train back to Jaipur.
ARRIVES JAIPUR
Train arrives Jaipur. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel in Jaipur.
