VISIT AGRA FORT
After having finished a delicious lunch, move on to see another renowned Mughal monument called the Red Fort of Agra.
The Red Fort in Agra is situated on the west bank of River Yamuna, commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar from 1565 to 1573. It is also called as walled city. Agra fort contains the beautiful palaces both in red sand stones and white marble built over three generations of Mughal Emperor such as Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan. The Agra fort features incredible rampart and magnificent Mughal architecture. Mughal emperor ShahJahan, who built Taj Mahal, is said to have been made house arrest by his own son Aurangzeb in this fort. Shahjahan spent last eight years of his life in this fort and died looking at Taj Mahal, which is also seen from the fort today.
