Attractions of Mussoorie
Lal Tibba: This is regarded as the highest point in Mussoorie situated in area called Landour. Which is know to be the oldest inhabited place of Mussoorie.
Gun Hill:
Gun hill is the second highest point in Mussoorie. It offers an amazing overlooking view of Mussoorie that appears to be changing colors in every minute. Gunhill is a one of the highest peaks of Mussoorie, can be reached by cable car. It also offers scenic view to the peaks of Himalayas and picturesque Mussoorie. Beautiful decorated markets are available up there to hang around and shop as well.
Municipal Garden:
This is also known as Botanical Gardens of Mussoorie were established by geologist Dr. H.Fackner in the last century.
Kempty Fall:
Kempty fall is 12 km away from the main town Mussoorie. It is a natural fall dripping down through rocks from the Himalayas. It is one of the most visited picnic spot in Mussoorie. Tourists come here in summers the most to enjoy the water falls.
Bhatta Falls:
It is again a beautiful natural falls situated at a distance of 8 km on Mussoorie-Dehradun road. It is also worth visiting place for tourists.
Jharipani Falls:
It is also one of the falls of Mussoorie situated at 8 km from Mussoorie. It is also a good picnic spot.
Jwala Temple:
Jwala temple is situated at an elevation of 2104 meter above sea level at a distance of 9 km away from Mussoorie.
Yamuna Bridge:
It is a famous spot for river Rafting situated at a distance of 27 km from Mussoorie. It is visited by many adventure lovers every year.
If time permits, one can choose to extend the trip by going further to Dhanaulti, which is 25 km from Mussoorie towards Chamba. Dhanaulti is a beautiful hill town situated at an altitude of 2286 mts above sea level. It is a picturesque hill destination with snowcapped peaks of Himalays making this place worth seeing hill station.
