Kedarnath Tour Package – 03 Nights 04 Days – Ex Delhi – (By Helicopter)

KEDARNATH TOUR ITINERARY :

DAY 01: DELHI – HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH (230 KM 06 HOURS DRIVE)
Morning pick up from the Airport/ Railway station/ Hotel/ House and drive to Rishikesh via visiting Haridwar en-route.

Haridwar:

Haridwar, meaning “Gateway to God” in English, is considered to be the most sacred city in India. This city is famous for the holy River Ganges, temples, ashrams, saints, and various Hindu festivals that are celebrated throughout the year on the Ghats of the river Ganges. Pilgrims come here from all over the world, as it is one of the four places where the largest congregation of Hindus is held, known as the Kumbh Mela.

Upon your arrival in Haridwar, visit the renowned Mansa Devi temple and Har-ki-Pauri, and in the evening, witness the captivating Ganga Aarti at the river’s Ghat. Later, you will drive towards Rishikesh for an overnight stay. Upon arrival in Rishikesh, you can check-in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

DAY 02: RISHIKESH – GUPTKASHI (200 KM 7-8 HOURS DRIVE)

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. On arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. If time permits, you can visit Ardh Narishwar temple in Guptkashi.

Guptkashi, which means “Hidden Benares,” is a place of great religious significance in India. According to legend, when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Lord Shiva, he initially concealed himself at Guptkashi before fleeing further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally found him. During winter when the Kedarnath temple is closed, the deity of Kedarnath is brought down to Ukhimath via Guptkashi and remains there for the entire winter.

DAY 03: GUPTKASHI – KEDARNATH – GUPTKASHI (BY HELICOPTER)
               GUPTKASHI – RISHIKESH (135 KM 5 HOUS DRIVE)

Early morning drive up to Helipad to board a helicopter to Kedarnath. On arrival, enjoy Kedarnath Tour and go for Kedarnath Temple Darshan.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath Temple is a sacred Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located at an elevation of 3,583 meters in the Garhwal Himalayan range of Uttarakhand, India. It is revered as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and considered one of the major sites of the Char Dham pilgrimage in Northern India. However, due to severe weather conditions, the temple is only open to devotees between April and November. During the winter season, the temple’s deity is transported to Ukhimath via Guptkashi, where it is worshipped for the next six months. Access to the temple is limited as there is no direct road network. Devotees can either trek for 19 km from Gaurikund or opt for a helicopter ride from Guptkashi or Phata for a round trip.

Nestled amidst the awe-inspiring Kedarnath range lies the illustrious Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 revered jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Enshrined within this picturesque haven, Lord Shiva, also known as Kedar, is believed to have eluded the Pandavas after the Kurukshetra war. Seeking redemption for their sins, the Pandavas pursued Lord Shiva who took the form of a bull and fled to Kedarnath.

Legend has it that upon being followed, Lord Shiva plunged into the earth leaving behind his hump on the surface. This divine manifestation of Lord Shiva is worshipped as Kedarnath, while the other parts of his body appeared at Tungnath, Rudranath, Madmaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar. Together, Kedarnath and the four other shrines form the Panch Kedar.

After completing the Kedarnath tour, return to the helipad for a breathtaking helicopter ride back to Guptkashi. From there, set forth on a scenic drive to Rishikesh and bask in the beauty of the surroundings. Upon reaching Rishikesh, settle into your pre-booked hotel and unwind in comfort after a spiritually enriching journey.

DAY 04: RISHIKESH – DELHI (230 KM 6 HOURS DRIVE)
Morning visit to Swarg Ashram, Geeta Bhawan, Triveni Ghat, etc, and later drive to Delhi.

DAY 01: DELHI – HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH (230 KM 6 HOURS DRIVE)

Pilgrims come here from all across the globe as it is one of the four places where Hindu’s largest congregation is held, which is Kumbh Mela or festival.

Upon arrival in Haridwar, visit the famous Mansa Devi temple, Har-ki-Pauri, and in the evening, captivating Ganga Aarti at river’s Ghat. Later drive towards Rishikesh for an overnight stay. On arrival in Rishikesh, check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Rishikesh.

DAY 02: RISHIKESH – GUPTKASHI (200 KM 7-8 HOURS DRIVE)
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. On arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. If time permits, you can visit Ardh Narishwar temple in Guptkashi.

DAY 03: GUPTKASHI – KEDARNATH – GUPTKASHI (30 KM DRIVE & 19 KM TREK ONE WAY)
Today morning after breakfast, drive up to Gaurikund, which is a base point for the Kedarnath trek. You can either hire Pony/Mules or Doli (At own cost) from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Dham. Otherwise, the trek is always an option to get to the Kedarnath temple.

The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty of having killed their brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly, and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull.

On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madmaheshwar, and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.

After the temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later drive to Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi.

DAY 04: GUPTKASHI – RISHIKESH (135 KM 5 HOURS DRIVE)
The morning after breakfast, drive to Rishikesh. On arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. After freshen up, go for a city tour of Rishikesh. It is known as Place of Sages, a spiritual town located on the bank of the Ganges. Sightseeing tour of Rishikesh includes Swarg Ashram, Geeta Bhawan, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, etc. Rishikesh is now a favorite spot for adventure lovers. You can do the activities like White river rafting, trekking, hiking, bungee jumping etc, in Rishikesh. Overnight stay at hotel in Rishikesh.

DAY 05: RISHIKESH – DELHI (230 KM 6 HOURS DRIVE)
The morning after breakfast, drive to Delhi.
